Great Deans Program

ACCCA is excited to announce the return of the ACCCA Great Deans Program in conjunction with our Chief Instructional and Student Service Officers. In these unprecedented times, ACCCA is here to bring you the professional development that you need, RIGHT NOW, in a remote setting.
Great Deans will have three virtual sessions with regional in-person sessions later in the year. The format of delivery may be different but we are filling this program with content for ALL deans (not just in the first five years of your career.)
The program will focus on topics relevant to our current climate:
- Crisis Leadership
- Faculty relations in this “New Normal”
- What every Dean needs to know about budgeting in our current environment
In order to accommodate more attendees and still observe physical distancing, we’ve created the following training schedule:
Thursday July 16, 2020 8am-9:30am - Virtual
Thursday July 23, 2020 8am-9am - Virtual
Thursday July 30, 2020 8am-9am - Virtual
Thursday August 6, 2020 8am-9am - Virtual
October (Date TBD) in person regional
November (Date TBD) in person regional
February 16th, 2021 Final regional session in person the day before the ACCCA Conference in Monterey
(Please note: In person dates will be switched to “virtual” meetings if needed.)
Please note the policies around our selection process:
- ACCCA can extend this training to 100 attendees.
- All applicants to the Great Deans program must go through a vetting process and be selected by a designated team of volunteers and staff based on criteria established by the Management Development Commission (MDC).
