Former Admin 101 participants have asked for it, and IEPI has helped fund its development, and now it’s finally here--a completely new leadership development opportunity from ACCCA—the Admin 201 Transformational Leadership Program!

Admin 201 is designed to provide comprehensive leadership skills to administrators who have already established a strong foundation of technical and regulatory training in their field, and now require the skills needed to move beyond doing the job well, to becoming the strategic and transformational leaders that our institutions need.

ACCCA, together with our colleagues at IEPI, have found through research and surveys that there is a quantifiable gap in professional development opportunities for managers and administrators that is specifically aimed at leadership development.  

The Admin 201 program is designed for the California community college manager or administrator, and addresses the concept of strong and effective leadership from both a theoretical and a practical perspective.  

The program begins with a self-assessment component so that each participant can identify their own leadership style and reference its findings throughout each lesson.

Admin 201 is guided by expert faculty utilizing a case-study approach that includes real-world examples of how positive transformational change takes place within an institution, and then clearly defines the role of the leader in creating that change.

Admin 201 program is set to launch this summer, July 23-27 and will be set at Sierra College in Northern California. You can apply to attend the inaugural program, and Registration is open now, and thanks to the support we’ve received from IEPI, the program is being offered at a reduced introductory cost of $1,500 which includes all materials and text books, accommodations and most meals during the program.  

Prospective candidates to the program should have completed either Admin 101, or have an equivalent level of technical training, knowledge or experience.
